Real sessions, real fixes.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Hi, I'm Rasul. I have over 10 years of hands-on residential and commercial electrical experience, including time working licensed for a construction contractor in Seattle, WA, and I'm also an electrical engineer. These days I work remotely and help DIYers get the same work done themselves, safely, over video. Some jobs — like EV charger installs or panel upgrades — require a local permit no matter who's guiding you. If your project falls into that category, I'll flag it on the free call so you know exactly what's needed before we start.
That's exactly what the free 10-minute call is for. If it's outside what I can safely walk you through, I'll say so — no charge, no pressure to book further.
A phone or laptop with a camera so you can show me what you're working on, and basic tools — screwdriver, voltage tester or multimeter if you have one. I'll tell you if anything else is needed after hearing your issue.
Most single-fixture or single-outlet jobs wrap inside one session. If we run long on something bigger, we'll figure out next steps together before time's up — no surprise charges.
SAFETY FIRST
Safety comes first on every call — I'll walk you through the right precautions for your specific job, like confirming power is off before you touch anything, before we get into the fix itself.
Most of what I help with is a great fit for handy homeowners, and sometimes for total first-timers too — but comfort matters more than confidence here. If at any point a job doesn't feel right for you to do yourself, that's completely okay. Hiring a licensed professional is always a good call, and I'll tell you honestly if that's the better path for your situation.
A quick note on how this works: I provide remote guidance and education for DIY electrical projects — I don't perform the physical work myself, so the outcome depends on the work carried out on your end. You're responsible for following your local electrical codes and any required permits, and for working carefully and at your own pace. If anything ever feels outside your comfort level, we'll pause and talk through bringing in a licensed local electrician instead. By booking, you're agreeing that the work is done at your own risk and that I'm not liable for injury, property damage, or code issues resulting from it — but that's a formality, not the expectation. My goal on every call is that you finish it feeling confident, not stuck.
Ten minutes on a call costs you nothing and tells you exactly where you stand — or skip straight to the fix if you already know what you need.
